| Troutbeck is located between windermere and ambleside, and is known for its stunning scenery, and its tranquility, due to there being less traffic than is usual in the lakes. It is popular with walkers and those who appreciate nature. In property terms, it is viewed as a premium area, as cottages rarely come up for sale. The cottages in troutbeck date back to the 1500s and haven't changed a great deal externally in all that time, which gives the area it's character and charm.
