Traditional Cottage in scenic island village
|
|
About this 2 - Cottage |
This property is a traditional 2 bedroom (double) cottage, built about 50 years ago, with a loft which could be developed into 2 more large rooms. Original open fireplaces remain in the livingroom and master bedroom and the original panelled doors are throughout the house. The kitchen Rayburn stove burns peat, coal or wood. It heats the domestic water and provides a very cosy atmosphere on colder days as do the 2 working fireplaces. The water is heated by electric when the stove is not on. Electric offpeak storage heaters provide steady and economical heat when required.
A glazed shower cubicle, and washer/dryer hookups have recently been added to the bathroom. The cottage is in good decorative order but would benefit from the installation of new floor coverings.
The livingroom and the master bedroom are each 4.5 sqm in size. The second bedroom is 3.5m x 3m. The kitchen is 4m x 3m. The bathroom measures 2.7m x 1.8m. Sale of existing furniture and appliances can be negotiated.
The cottage sits on a 1/5 acre feu with open common grazings land in front and to one side. There are no other houses to the front or rear. It
